Is your business saleable?
If I were to ask you – “What plans do you have in place to exit your business?” I’m sure a majority of you would respond – ‘Um, we don’t.”
It’s not really something we tend to think about, until we get to the stage where we may like to sell our business, or are in a situation where we may like to hand the business over to a family member, or whatever other reason that may have arisen.
My guest today is Denise Hall, and Denise believes we MUST start with the end in mind, regardless of how old your business is.
Denise is an ex-Business Owner turned Business Broker and Exit Strategist, specialising in the Online and Professional Services space. She knows how to play the “Finish Unfinished Business” and build an asset that is saleable game like no other.
According to recent statistics from the Center of Women's Business Research USA, only 3% of women-owned businesses reach $1million revenue or more. Include women who are also primary breadwinners, no doubt that % is even lower. Denise is proud she features in both categories.
In addition, Denise sold her 7-figure Corporate Talent Agency in July 2011 for fair market value. Blend this breath of experience and execution together with her sense of humour, and you can see why Denise is sort after.
On today’s show Denise is going to speak about:
- How to Start with the End in Mind, regardless of how old your business is
- Even though the term “business” is bandied about, are you building your business as an asset or is it really just a job replacement?
- Is your Business Saleable?
