How to Turn Your Business into an Asset

How to Turn Your Business into an Asset

Sadly, many startup businesses end up failing. And, according to my guest, of those that don't fail, most of them don't build any real value.

Mark Stecher grew up in an entrepreneurial family and by the time he was 14 his father who was a Mechanical Engineer had started about 5 or 6 small businesses.

Growing up he spent quite a lot of time helping his father after school and on weekends and developed an interest in business. He finished high school and went on to Swinburne University to complete a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 1989 Mark founded DyCom Business Systems when an opportunity to provide IT support to the Victorian Education Department came up.

DyCom quickly grew and in 1993 ventured into providing some of the first spread spectrum Wireless Communications systems in Australia.

This business grew and eventually became a separate organisation now known as DyCom Wireless Solutions. Under Mark’s leadership the DyCom expanded into IP Security (CCTV and Access Control) and Cloud Solutions.

On today's on the show Mark is going to share:

  • The importance of Life Balance;
  • The importance of creating your own journey;
  • The benefits of having an inspiring vision.
