[Ep #99] Don’t mistake your current struggles as failures

Topic: Don’t mistake your current struggles as failures

My guest today says, “Don’t mistake your current struggles as failures or wastes but believe God is using these to prepare you for something greater.”

Joining me today is Baird Hall.

Baird is a tech entrepreneur, marketer, & founder. As the founder of online tools Wavve & Zubtitle, Baird focuses on building products that help people share their voice or message online.

Wavve is an online tool that helps share audio on social media by converting audio clips into animated social videos. Baird is also the co-founder of Zubtitle, a web-based video editing tool that automatically adds beautiful subtitles to any video.

On today’s show Baird is going to share:

  • Start With Why: What is it that you want and what good can you introduce to the world?
  • Failure is preparation -I spent a full year (and a lot of money) on a failed startup. It was the toughest year of my life and I didn’t realize it at the time that it was preparing me to be a better Christ follower, entrepreneur, & husband.
  • Empathy is a secret weapon – As Christians, we are taught serve others. However, in business, it’s natural for us (as sinners) to want to serve ourselves. Empathy is the key to battling this.
