I’m a firm believer that success influences success and today’s guest – Karim Webb along with his business partner Braxton Barnett have created a successful model for opening restaurants in the inner city, starting with South Central Los Angeles. Not only is their restaurant, Buffalo Wild Wings (Baldwin Hills), providing its community members with valuable skills and job opportunities – unprecedented for the demographic in the area – but Mr. Webb and Mr. Barnett are making a PROFIT doing it.

YTD 2014 their sales are up 35% over the previous year’s sales. With 2 other BWW restaurant locations and 3 more on the way, you’d think they were busy enough. But the community is feeling their presence in a big way too!
KARIM was voted as the VP/Board of Directors for the Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce, was presented the ‘Mentor of The Year' Award by the BROTHERHOOD CRUSADE for his work with BLOOM, and perhaps most importantly, he's become the Chairman of the Los Angeles Southwest College Foundation alongside President Dr. Rose in an effort to make a difference in higher education in South LA.
ED currently serves as a board member of National College Resources Foundation helping to raise money for college scholarships. Ed is also a fourteen year veteran of the financial services industry, currently holding the position of Vice President for Private Client Group of Newbury Capital Management, a Los Angeles-based money management firm. Additionally, he frequently speaks at events sharing his passion and knowledge for financial literacy and investor education. Ed has also inspired the new and inspiration CONVERSATION WITH A LEGEND via the Advocates Pro Tour.
